Hylo-Wave is a soft injectable gel that Peachcell Clinic uses in two ways: to smooth tear troughs and under-eye hollows, and as a skin booster for mild volume and skin quality. People looking for Hylo-Wave in Korea usually want to look less tired without the heavy, puffy look that under-eye filler can cause.
Dr. Ha Chang-ik teaches this technique to other doctors. In August 2026 he gave an invited lecture and live demonstration at the Korean Society of Filler Medicine Gwangju Live Seminar on natural tear trough correction and skin booster effects with Hylo-Wave. Hylo-Wave also appears in the before-and-after cases the clinic publishes, alone and combined with XERF lifting.
Every Hylo-Wave plan starts with a consultation, because dark circles have different causes, and not all of them respond to an injection.
How it works
Under-eye shadows often come from a groove where the lower lid meets the cheek. A small amount of soft gel placed carefully along that groove reduces the shadow, so the area looks smoother and less tired.
Hylo-Wave is softer than a typical volume filler, so it blends with thin under-eye skin and moves naturally. The doctor uses small amounts and the right depth for each part of the groove. Too much product, or product in the wrong layer, is what causes the puffy look people worry about.
Used across the face as a booster, Hylo-Wave adds light hydration and soft volume. The doctor often pairs it with XERF for faces that are slightly hollow and starting to loosen.
Who it suits
- Tear troughs and a groove between the lower lid and cheek
- Shadow-type dark circles that make you look tired
- Mild hollowness under the cheekbones (“peanut-shaped” face)
- People who had under-eye filler before and want a softer result
- Thin skin that needs light volume and hydration
When another option fits better
- Dark circles caused by pigment: pico toning or Accento N addresses the color.
- Large under-eye fat bags: an injection can make them look worse; the doctor will tell you if surgery is the better route.
- Thin, crepey under-eye skin without a groove: Rejuran Eye usually fits better.
- Sagging jowls or jawline: XERF or Ultherapy PRIME fits better.
Dr. Ha’s note
The under-eye area is where I am most conservative. Many patients come to me after under-eye filler that left them puffy, and most of those cases came from too much product or the wrong depth. I always check whether a dark circle is a shadow, pigment or fat before I suggest anything. If it is fat bags, I say no to injections. When Hylo-Wave is the right fit, I use small amounts and stop before you think you need more. A natural result is the goal, and people should not be able to tell you had something done.

- Sleep with your head slightly raised for the first night or two.
- No alcohol or smoking for a week to lower the risk of inflammation.
- Avoid saunas, jjimjilbang and swimming pools for a week.

- Results vary from person to person.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Hylo-Wave cost in Korea at Peachcell?
Peachcell’s listed price in winter 2026 is ₩490,000 for Hylo-Wave 2cc. The Hylo-Wave Key Doctor event, Hylo-Wave 6cc for volume and skin boosting, is ₩1,290,000. Will it make my under-eyes puffy?
Puffiness usually comes from too much product or placing it at the wrong depth. Dr. Ha uses small amounts of a soft product and checks first whether your dark circles are a shadow, pigment or fat. If injection is not suitable, he will tell you.
Does it hurt, and how long does it last?
Most people tolerate it with numbing cream. Results are visible right after swelling settles and usually last many months, varying by person and area.
How many days should I stay in Seoul?
You can fly the next day, but under-eye bruising can last 1–2 weeks. If you have photos or an event soon after, plan the treatment early in your trip. Staying 2–3 days lets you come back for a quick check.
What are the risks?
Swelling and bruising are common. Lumps or uneven areas can occur. Very rarely, an injection can block a blood vessel; this is an emergency and is treated right away. This is one reason the doctor injects the under-eye area himself.
Results vary by individual. Every treatment plan is decided after an in-person consultation with the doctor.
