Botox is the common name for botulinum toxin injections, which relax specific muscles for a few months. At Peachcell it is used for expression lines, a slimmer jaw, salivary gland slimming under the jaw, skin Botox for pores and fine texture, and the shoulders (trapezius) and calves.
Many visitors look for Botox in Korea because it is quick, needs little to no downtime and fits into a short trip. Our listed prices are below.
The toxins on our menu are Coretox, Hitox and Xeomin. The brand name “Botox” belongs to Allergan; in Korea, as in the US, people use the word for all of these. Dr. Ha decides the product, dose and points with you at the consultation.
How it works
Botulinum toxin blocks the signal from nerve to muscle at the injection point. The muscle relaxes, so the lines it creates soften. Over about 3–6 months the nerve endings recover and the effect wears off.
Wrinkle Botox: small doses in the forehead, between the brows or at the crow’s feet soften expression lines. Jaw Botox: injected into the masseter (chewing muscle), it gradually shrinks a bulky muscle for a slimmer lower face. Salivary gland Botox: injected into an enlarged gland below the jaw, it can make the area under the jawline look slimmer.
Skin Botox (sometimes called micro-Botox) places very diluted toxin just under the skin across the face. It can reduce oiliness and the look of pores and fine lines without freezing expression. For the body, larger doses in the trapezius can soften a bulky shoulder line, and in the calf can slim a muscular calf.
Effects start in 2–3 days and peak around 2 weeks; jaw and body slimming show over 2–4 weeks as the muscle shrinks. Coretox and Xeomin are made without complexing proteins, which some doctors prefer for people who have Botox often. The doctor will explain which product fits your plan.
Who it suits
- Forehead lines, frown lines between the brows and crow’s feet
- A square or wide lower face from strong chewing muscles
- Fullness under the jawline from enlarged salivary glands
- Oily skin, visible pores and fine crepey texture (skin Botox)
- A bulky shoulder line (trapezius) or muscular calves
- A tense, dimpled chin muscle, often together with chin filler
When another option fits better
- Deep lines that stay when your face is at rest, or volume loss: filler or a skin booster fits better.
- A wide lower face from fat rather than muscle: Onda reduces fat; Botox will not change it.
- Sagging jowls: Ultherapy PRIME or Onda lifts; jaw Botox on a sagging face can make it look looser.
- Pregnancy, breastfeeding or a neuromuscular disorder: Botox should not be used.
Dr. Ha’s note
Botox looks simple, but the dose and the injection points decide if you look relaxed or frozen. For wrinkles I keep enough movement that your face still reads as yours. For the jaw I check first whether the width is muscle, fat or sagging, because Botox only helps the first. I use genuine toxin at the full stated dose and do not dilute it beyond what the plan calls for. I have had most of these injections myself, so I can tell you honestly what you will feel, which is usually a few quick pinches.
Aftercare
- Stay upright for about 4 hours and don’t lie face-down.
- Don’t rub or massage the injected areas on the day.
- Skip saunas, hot baths, hard workouts and alcohol on the day of treatment.
- You can wash and wear makeup the same day; press gently.
- After jaw Botox, chewing can feel tired for a few weeks; avoid very tough or chewy food if it bothers you.
- If you notice a drooping eyelid or brow, an uneven smile, or difficulty swallowing, contact the clinic.

Does Botox hurt?
Most people feel a few quick pinches. It is one of the lowest-pain treatments; Dr. Ha scores it in his pain-score video after trying it himself. Skin Botox involves more small injections, so numbing cream is used.
How long does Botox last?
Wrinkle Botox usually lasts about 3–4 months. Jaw and body Botox often last about 4–6 months, and repeated sessions can keep the muscle smaller for longer. It varies by person and dose.
Coretox, Hitox or Xeomin: which one will I get?
The doctor chooses by area and history. Coretox and Xeomin are made without complexing proteins, which some doctors prefer for people who get Botox often. You can ask to see the vial and box before the injection to confirm the product.
Can I fly right after Botox?
Yes. Botox is one of the easiest treatments to do on a trip. Avoid lying down for about 4 hours, and if you want the result checked after 2 weeks, you can send a photo by WhatsApp.
Results vary by individual. Every treatment plan is decided after an in-person consultation with the doctor.
