Is your chin short or set back, so your profile looks flat or your jawline seems to stop too early? Are you wondering whether chin filler in Korea is worth planning a trip around?
Please read this before you book a clinic or a flight.
By the end you’ll know what chin filler can and can’t change, how the procedure runs step by step, what it costs at our clinic in Seoul, what the real risks are, how long recovery takes, and what to check when you choose a clinic in Korea.
I’m Dr. Ha Chang-ik, head doctor of Peachcell Clinic in Sinsa, Seoul. I design and inject every filler at our clinic myself. No counselor sets your plan, and nobody else holds the needle. We use genuine Juvéderm (Allergan, USA) and Rejuviel V (Pharma Research, Korea), and the amount we agree on in consultation is the amount that goes in.
I’m also the academic director of the Korean Society of Filler Medicine, and I lecture to other doctors on filler technique. In August 2026 I was invited to give a live demonstration at the society’s Gwangju seminar. Teaching other injectors keeps me strict about anatomy and safety in my own room.
I wrote this because of one belief I hear from foreign patients almost every week: more filler makes a better chin. It usually doesn’t. A chin that is too long or too pointed changes the whole face, and it is harder to correct than a chin that needs one more small top-up later. The goal is balance with your nose, lips and jaw, so people notice that you look well, not that you had something done.
What chin filler is and what it can change
Chin filler is a hyaluronic acid (HA) gel injected deep in the chin, close to the bone, to add projection or length. HA is a sugar molecule your skin already contains. Filler gels for the chin are firmer than lip fillers, so they hold shape and support the soft tissue above them.
Done well, chin filler can:
- Bring a set-back chin forward so it lines up better with your lips and nose in profile.
- Add a little length to a short lower face.
- Give the end of the jawline a clearer point, which can make the lower face look more defined from the front.
- Soften a deep crease between the lower lip and the chin.
It cannot:
- Make a wide, square jaw narrower. That width usually comes from the masseter muscle, and Botox is the tool for it.
- Remove fat under the chin or lift sagging jowls.
- Replace surgery when the jaw itself is very small or the bite is off. In that case I will tell you to see a surgeon or orthodontist first.
HA filler is not permanent, and it can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if something needs correcting. For a first chin treatment, I think that reversibility is a real advantage.

Who chin filler suits, and when something else fits better
Chin filler tends to work well for people who:
- Have a chin that sits behind the line of the lips in side view.
- Feel their lower face looks short or rounded and want a slightly longer, more tapered shape.
- Want a change they can see in the mirror the same day, with little downtime.
- Prefer to try a reversible option before considering a chin implant.
Something else often fits better when:
- The jaw looks wide at the angles. If you clench or chew hard, the masseter muscle may be large. Jaw-slimming Botox relaxes that muscle over several weeks. Many faces need Botox first and only a small amount of chin filler afterward, or none at all.
- The chin puckers or dimples when you close your mouth. That is an overactive muscle, and a small dose of Botox usually helps more than filler.
- The real problem is fullness under the chin or loose skin. Lifting devices or fat-reduction treatments address that. Filler alone can make the lower face look heavier.
- You already have a lot of filler. I check old filler first. Adding more on top of migrated or lumpy filler rarely ends well.

Chin filler procedure in Seoul, step by step
- Free WhatsApp consultation. Send a front photo and a side photo with your face relaxed and your mouth closed. I look at them and give you my honest opinion on whether chin filler suits you, a rough design idea, and a price estimate, before you book anything.
- Arrival at the clinic. We are on 3F of YK Tower, 121 Dosan-daero, a short walk from Sinsa Station. On your first visit we take a 3D skin analysis with EVE MUSE.
- Consultation and design with me. I check your profile, the length of your lower face, your bite and any old filler. We decide together on the product and the cc. I mark the points on your skin while you sit upright, because the face changes shape when you lie down.
- Numbing. We apply numbing cream. The chin fillers we use also contain lidocaine, a local anesthetic mixed into the gel. Most people describe pressure more than pain.
- Injection. Treatment is done in a private one-person room on 2F. I open the sealed box in front of you, inject slowly in small amounts, and check the shape from the side several times.
- Check before you leave. You sit up and look in the mirror from the front and side. I check skin color and the area again, and we go through aftercare. Most people go back to their day afterward.
Chin filler cost in Korea at Peachcell (2026)
Our winter 2026 menu does not list chin filler as a single item. The price depends on which product we use (Juvéderm or Rejuviel V) and how many cc your chin needs, so I quote it after looking at your photos or seeing you in person. I won’t give you a number I can’t stand behind.
For reference, these are listed items on Peachcell’s winter 2026 menu that include filler or relate to the lower face:
| Item (Peachcell listed price, winter 2026) | KRW | |
|---|---|---|
| Lifting filler (MD Codes) 3cc | ₩1,490,000 | |
| Unlimited Juvéderm filler (up to 10cc) | ₩3,090,000 | |
| Coretox wrinkle Botox 1 area + Hitox jaw Botox 50U | ₩88,000 | |
| Chin filler (single item) | Quoted after consultation (product and cc) | |
Please note: these are event prices and they change. VAT (10%) is added separately. The final quote is confirmed after consultation.
See the full winter 2026 price list.
When you compare prices between clinics, ask three things: which brand, how many cc, and whether the price is per cc or per session. A low headline price for “chin filler” sometimes means a smaller amount or a product you can’t verify.
Chin filler safety: bruising, swelling and rare vascular complications
Chin filler is one of the more predictable filler areas, but it is still a medical procedure. These are the risks I explain to every patient:
- Bruising and swelling. Common. Bruising and swelling can last 1 to 2 weeks, though many people only have mild swelling for a few days.
- Tenderness and firmness. The chin can feel firm or sore when you touch it for a while. Avoid pressing or massaging it.
- Asymmetry or a lump. Usually from swelling early on. If it persists after things settle, it can be adjusted or dissolved.
- Infection. Uncommon. Keeping the area clean, and avoiding smoking, alcohol, saunas and pools for a week, lowers the risk.
- Vascular occlusion. Very rare, but the most serious risk. Filler can block or press on a blood vessel. Warning signs include strong pain, skin that turns pale, gray or mottled, or blisters. It needs treatment right away with hyaluronidase, which dissolves HA filler.
How I keep risk low
- I inject every filler myself, slowly, in small amounts, at a depth that suits the chin’s anatomy.
- I watch the skin color during and after the injection, not only the shape.
- I use only genuine products, opened in front of you.
- I would rather stop at a smaller amount and see you again than push volume in one session.
If anything feels wrong after you leave, message us on WhatsApp straight away with a photo. Please don’t wait until you are home.
Chin filler results and how long they last
You see the new shape right after the injection, but the first few days include swelling. I judge the result at about two weeks, once swelling has gone down and the gel has settled.
The chin moves less than the lips, so chin filler generally lasts longer than lip filler. A firm HA gel in the chin commonly lasts around a year, sometimes longer, but this varies with the product, the amount, your metabolism and how active your face is. Many people need a smaller top-up the second time.
I won’t post invented reviews or star ratings here. What I can tell you is the pattern I see: the patients who are happiest a year later are the ones who started with a modest amount. If a chin looks too long or too pointed, it is usually because too much went in at once.
The same principle applies to every filler area. In this short video I explain why a dented, uneven forehead after filler isn’t “normal” and how filler should be placed. And yes, international patients see me in person for the consultation, the same as Korean patients.
Chin filler recovery timeline
- Same day: Mild swelling, tenderness and possibly small needle marks. You can eat normally. Light makeup can usually go on the next day.
- Days 1 to 3: Swelling is usually at its peak. The chin may look slightly longer or rounder than the final result. Sleep on your back if you can.
- Week 1: Avoid saunas, pools, alcohol and smoking. Don’t press, massage or rest your chin on your hand. Skip face-down massage tables.
- Weeks 1 to 2: Any bruising fades. The shape settles. This is when I review the result, in person or by WhatsApp photos.
Most people go back to normal activities the same day. Hard exercise is better left for a couple of days.
Planning your Seoul trip around chin filler
- Do it early in the trip. If you can, book chin filler in the first few days, so you have time for swelling to settle and for a follow-up check before you fly home.
- Flying after filler. Flying itself doesn’t move filler. Still, I prefer patients not to board a long-haul flight on the same day, so any early problem can be seen in Seoul. Drink water on the plane and avoid resting your face against the window or a neck pillow that presses on your chin.
- Alcohol and nights out. Skip soju and late nights for the first week. Alcohol increases swelling and bruising.
- Saunas and jjimjilbang. Avoid Korean saunas, hot spas, pools and very hot baths for one week.
- Facials and skin treatments. If you plan other treatments, tell me. Some can be done the same day, some are better a few days apart.
- Hours. We are open Mon–Fri 10:00–20:00 (lunch 13:30–14:30) and Sat 10:00–16:00. We are closed on Sundays. Building parking is free; valet is ₩4,000.
How to choose a chin filler clinic in Korea
Seoul has many filler clinics, and prices vary widely. These questions tell you more than the price does:
- Who injects? Ask whether the doctor you consult with is the doctor who injects you, and whether that doctor designs the shape. At Peachcell, I do both.
- Is the product genuine? Ask to see the sealed box opened in front of you, and check the brand name, the product label and the lot or serial sticker. You are allowed to ask for this.
- How much goes in? Ask for the number of cc in writing before treatment. If the amount is vague, so is the price.
- What happens if something goes wrong? Ask whether they keep hyaluronidase on site, and how they follow up with patients who have flown home.
- Do they ever say no? A doctor who tells you that you need less, or a different treatment, is usually one who cares about the result.

Thank you for reading this far. If you are unsure whether your chin needs filler at all, send me your photos. Sometimes the honest answer is that it doesn’t, and I’d rather tell you that before you fly.

Frequently asked questions
How much does chin filler cost in Korea?
At Peachcell, chin filler is priced by product (Juvéderm or Rejuviel V) and the number of cc your chin needs, so I quote it after reviewing your photos or seeing you. For reference, our winter 2026 menu lists filler packages such as unlimited Juvéderm filler (up to 10cc) at ₩3,090,000. Prices are event prices that change, VAT (10%) is separate, and the final quote is confirmed after consultation.
Does chin filler hurt?
Most people tolerate it well with numbing cream, and the chin fillers we use contain lidocaine. Most patients describe pressure and a dull ache rather than sharp pain. The chin may feel sore for a few days.
How long does chin filler last?
Chin filler generally lasts longer than lip filler because the chin moves less. Around a year is common, sometimes longer, but it varies with the product, the amount and your body. Top-ups are usually smaller than the first treatment.
Can I fly home the day after chin filler?
Many people do, but I prefer at least a few days in Seoul so swelling can settle and I can check the result. If you must leave quickly, stay in touch by WhatsApp and send photos if anything looks or feels unusual.
Can chin filler be removed if I don’t like it?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. That is one reason I recommend starting with a modest amount and genuine HA products, rather than permanent materials.
Results vary by individual. Every treatment plan is decided after an in-person consultation with the doctor.
