Juvelook is a Korean skin booster that combines PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid) with hyaluronic acid. PDLLA prompts the skin to make more of its own collagen over the following weeks. People look for Juvelook in Korea because it is a Korean product, widely used in Seoul clinics and less common abroad.
There are two types. Juvelook Skin is placed in the upper skin to improve texture, enlarged pores, fine acne scars and crepey skin. Juvelook Volume has larger particles and is placed a little deeper for mild hollows, such as flat cheeks or a slightly sunken area under the cheekbones.
At Peachcell Clinic in Gangnam, Dr. Ha decides between Skin and Volume, or a mix of both, after a 3D skin analysis and a face-to-face consultation.
How it works
The hyaluronic acid in Juvelook gives a little hydration right away, but the main effect comes from PDLLA. The tiny particles sit in the skin and trigger a mild healing response, and the skin builds new collagen around them over the following weeks.
Because the body is doing the work, the result appears slowly. Most people notice firmer, smoother skin 4–8 weeks after a session, and the improvement keeps building through a series. The particles break down and are absorbed over time.
Juvelook Volume uses the same idea with a larger dose in a deeper layer, so it can soften mild hollows gradually. It does not give the instant shape that a filler gives.
Who it suits
- Enlarged pores and rough texture on the cheeks
- Shallow acne scars and uneven skin surface
- Thin, crepey skin that has lost firmness
- Mild hollows under the cheekbones or a flat midface (Juvelook Volume)
- People who want a gradual change that looks natural
When another option fits better
- An instant change before an event this week: a hyaluronic acid filler or a skin booster like Rejuran fits that timeline better.
- Deep hollows that need more volume: Sculptra or GOURI are usually considered.
- Deep, tethered acne scars on their own: Sylfirm X or Pico Fraxel is often combined with or chosen over Juvelook.
- Sagging jowls: a lifting device such as XERF or Onda fits better.
Dr. Ha’s note
Patients often come to me saying they tried a skin booster and felt nothing. Usually the booster was fine; it just did not match the problem. If your pores and texture are the issue, I lean toward Juvelook Skin, and if there is a slight hollowness, I add Juvelook Volume in that area only. I tell everyone that Juvelook is slow. The first month can feel like nothing happened, and that is normal. If you need to look different by next weekend, I will suggest something else rather than let you be disappointed.
Aftercare
- Small bumps, warmth and swelling are expected and settle within a few days.
- Wash gently that evening. Makeup from the next day.
- No alcohol or smoking for about a week.
- Avoid saunas, jjimjilbang and firm facial massage for about a week.
- Use sunscreen every day.
- Contact us if a firm lump stays beyond two weeks or if redness spreads.
- Results vary and appear gradually over 4–8 weeks.

What is the difference between Juvelook Skin and Juvelook Volume?
Juvelook Skin is placed in the upper skin for pores, texture and fine scars. Juvelook Volume has larger particles and is placed deeper for mild hollows. Many faces need a little of each in different areas.
When will I see results, and how long do they last?
Expect gradual change from about 4 weeks, building over 2–3 sessions. Because the result is new collagen, it tends to last longer than a plain hydrating booster, often around a year, but this varies from person to person.
Does Juvelook hurt?
Most people tolerate it with numbing cream. You will feel pressure and some stinging at the injection points.
Can I do Juvelook on a short trip to Seoul?
Yes. One session fits a short trip, and most people fly the next day. Since a series works best, many patients plan their next session for their next visit, about 4 weeks or more later.
Results vary by individual. Every treatment plan is decided after an in-person consultation with the doctor.
