Are you looking into Juvelook because of large pores, acne scars or skin that looks a little hollow, and wondering whether it is worth getting in Korea?
Please read this first. Juvelook is popular for good reasons, but it works slowly, and people who expect a result in one week are often disappointed.
By the end you will know the difference between Juvelook Skin and Juvelook Volume, what they cost at a Seoul clinic in 2026, how the treatment goes, what the recovery looks like day by day, when results actually appear, and whether Juvelook fits your concern and budget.
I’m Dr. Ha Chang-ik, head doctor of Peachcell Clinic in Sinsa, Seoul. At our clinic every first visit starts with a 3D skin analysis on EVE MUSE, and then you talk with me, the doctor who treats you. We use genuine products at the full dose on the box, in private one-person treatment rooms.
I’m the academic director of the Korean Society of Filler Medicine (KSFM), and injectables are a large part of what I teach and practice. Juvelook is one of the boosters I use most for pores and scars.
I wrote this because many foreign patients think of Juvelook as a hydration shot like other boosters. It isn’t. Juvelook works by stimulating your own collagen, which is why the timing, dilution and depth matter, and why the results build over months rather than days.
What Juvelook is: Juvelook Skin vs Juvelook Volume
Juvelook is a Korean injectable made of PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid) combined with hyaluronic acid. PDLLA particles prompt the skin to produce new collagen around them over the following weeks. The hyaluronic acid gives some early hydration while that happens.
- Juvelook Skin is placed shallowly, mostly for texture: enlarged pores, shallow acne scars, crepey or uneven skin.
- Juvelook Volume is placed deeper for gentle volume in areas that have started to look hollow, such as the temples or the area under the cheekbones.
Juvelook is not FDA-approved, which is one reason people in the US look for it abroad. Like Sculptra, it is a collagen stimulator, but it is generally used for softer, more skin-focused changes.
Who Juvelook suits, and who should choose something else
Juvelook tends to suit:
- Enlarged pores, especially on the cheeks
- Shallow, rolling acne scars and uneven texture
- Skin that looks thin and slightly hollow, without much sagging
- People who want a gradual, natural change and can wait one to three months for it
I usually recommend something else when:
- Your skin is very thin, sensitive or reactive right now. I often start with Rejuran to calm the skin first.
- Your scars are deep or boxcar-type. Juvelook alone rarely flattens these. A combination with Sylfirm X or other scar treatments is more realistic.
- You need clear volume in one spot, such as the chin or a deep fold. A hyaluronic acid filler gives a more predictable shape.
- You need a result for an event next week. Juvelook is too slow for that.
- You have active acne or infection in the area, or are pregnant or breastfeeding.
How Juvelook treatment goes at our Seoul clinic, step by step
- WhatsApp consultation before your trip. Send makeup-free photos in daylight. Close-ups of pores or scars help. You get my opinion and an estimate before you book.
- Arrival at YK Tower, 121 Dosan-daero, near Sinsa Station. Consultation is on the 3rd floor.
- EVE MUSE 3D skin analysis to map pores and texture, so we can compare later.
- Consultation with me. Skin or Volume, the dose, the areas, and whether to combine with another treatment.
- Numbing cream for about 30 to 40 minutes.
- Injection in a private room, roughly 15 to 30 minutes. Juvelook Skin is usually placed with many small injections; Juvelook Volume may be placed with a cannula.
- Aftercare instructions and follow-up, including after you fly home.

| Treatment | Listed price (KRW) |
|---|---|
| Juvelook Volume 2cc | ₩120,000 |
| Pore Premium: Cellredm 1 vial + Juvelook Skin 2cc + Sylfirm X | ₩290,000 |
| Pore Royal: Titanium 20kJ + GOURI 1 vial + Juvelook Skin 2cc + Sylfirm X + exosome LDM | ₩690,000 |
Juvelook Skin is not priced on its own this season; it is part of the pore packages above.

What changes the price:
- Dose and area. Cheeks only, or full face; 2cc or 4cc.
- Skin or Volume. They are dosed differently.
- Combinations. For pores and scars, Juvelook is often combined with Sylfirm X or Cellredm. I only suggest a combination when the analysis shows it is needed.
Juvelook results: when they show and what patients report
I don’t publish patient reviews here, but the pattern is consistent:
- First week: some early smoothness from the hyaluronic acid, plus the injection bumps settling.
- Around 4 to 8 weeks: collagen starts to show. Patients usually notice pores look smaller and makeup sits more evenly.
- Up to about 3 months: the change continues. Many people choose a series of two or three sessions a few weeks apart for scars.
Results vary with skin thickness, age, scar type and how many sessions you have. If you have tried a booster before and felt nothing, I explain common reasons in my video on why skin boosters sometimes don’t seem to work.
Juvelook recovery timeline, day by day, and the risks to know
- Day 0: small raised bumps at injection points, redness, possible bruising.
- Days 1 to 3: bumps flatten for most people. Light makeup is usually fine from the next day.
- Up to about a week: bruises fade.
- First week: avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas and strong massage on the area. Use sunscreen daily.
The specific risk with collagen stimulators like Juvelook is small lumps (nodules) under the skin, usually linked to how the product is prepared, diluted or placed. This is uncommon when it is done correctly, but it is why I don’t treat Juvelook as a casual add-on. Bruising, swelling and infection are possible with any injection. If anything feels wrong after you go home, message us.
Planning your Seoul trip around Juvelook
- Book it early in your trip, day 1 or 2, so the bumps settle while you are still in Seoul.
- Allow about 1.5 to 2 hours at the clinic.
- Flying: most people fly the next day without problems.
- Series on a short trip: if you can only come once, we plan one well-dosed session and talk about whether a second session makes sense on your next visit.
- Combining with laser: if you want Sylfirm X too, tell us in advance so we can plan the order the same day.
We are open Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00 (lunch 13:30–14:30) and Saturday 10:00–16:00, closed Sunday.
How to choose a clinic for Juvelook in Korea
- Ask to see the sealed product before it is opened, and check the authenticity label or QR code where there is one.
- Ask how many cc you are getting, and whether it is Skin or Volume.
- Ask who prepares and injects it. Preparation and depth affect the lump risk.
- Ask what they would use instead if Juvelook is not right for you.
See our Juvelook treatment page for more, and the Sylfirm X page for pores and acne scars if scars are your main concern. You can read about my background on Dr. Ha Chang-ik’s profile.
