Dermal filler restores or reshapes volume with hyaluronic acid gel. At Peachcell it is used for a rounder, smoother forehead, front cheek (apple) volume, nasolabial folds, “fairy ear” filler that lifts flat-lying ears, and full-face plans that balance several areas at once.
People looking for filler in Korea often want the soft, youthful look Korean clinics are known for: a forehead without dips, cheeks that catch the light, and a face that looks rested from the front and the side. Getting there depends on design and placement, not just the product.
Dr. Ha designs and injects every filler himself and is Academic Director of the Korean Society of Filler Medicine. This page explains each area, the two filler brands we use, the risks, and how to plan treatment on a visit to Seoul.
How it works
Hyaluronic acid filler is a gel that holds water. Different products have different firmness: firmer gels hold shape for the forehead and cheeks, softer gels suit fine areas. The doctor chooses the product and the depth for each area.
Forehead: filler is spread in a deep, even layer to create a smooth, gently rounded forehead. Dents, ridges or a lumpy surface are not a normal result; they usually mean the layer or spread was off, and they can often be corrected. Front cheek: filler over the cheekbone adds lift and light-reflecting volume. Nasolabial folds: filler supports the fold directly or the cheek above it.
“Fairy ear” filler: a small amount is placed at the back of the ear where it meets the head, so ears that lie flat stand out a little. From the front, the face then looks narrower. Full face: several areas are planned together in one design so proportions stay balanced.
We use two brands. Juvéderm, made by Allergan in the USA, is a smooth gel with a long track record worldwide. Rejuviel V, made by Pharma Research in Korea, uses medical-grade raw material approved by France’s ANSM, according to its maker. Both are hyaluronic acid with lidocaine, and both can be dissolved.
Who it suits
- A flat or uneven forehead, or dents left by previous forehead filler
- Flat front cheeks that make the face look tired or older
- Nasolabial folds that cast a shadow
- Ears that lie flat against the head (“fairy ear” filler)
- Several hollow areas that need one balanced full-face plan
When another option fits better
- Hollow cheeks under the cheekbones with thin skin (a “peanut-shaped” face): Hylo-Wave or Sculptra adds soft volume gradually and may look more natural.
- Nasolabial folds caused mainly by sagging: lifting the cheek with Ultherapy PRIME or Onda often helps more than filling the fold.
- Forehead lines that appear when you raise your brows: Botox relaxes the muscle; filler is for shape.
Dr. Ha’s note
I design and inject every filler myself, and I use genuine Juvéderm or Rejuviel V at the full amount you are charged for. Many of the patients who see me for forehead filler come after a result elsewhere that left dents or ridges, and were told it was normal. It isn’t. I made a short video about why. A forehead should look smooth from every angle, which takes the right depth and patient, even spreading. With full-face filler I hold back on purpose. I would rather leave you looking rested than make every area bigger, and when a booster or lifting would look more natural than filler, I will suggest that instead.
Aftercare
- Bruising and swelling can last 1–2 weeks. Most is gone much sooner, but plan photos and events with that in mind.
- Don’t press, squeeze or massage the treated area unless the doctor tells you to.
- Avoid saunas, jjimjilbang (Korean bathhouses) and swimming pools for one week.
- Avoid smoking and alcohol for one week to lower the risk of infection and inflammation.
- Sleep on your back for the first few nights if you can.
- Vascular complications are very rare. If the skin turns white, gray or blotchy purple, if pain keeps getting worse, or if your vision changes, contact the clinic immediately, any time.

Juvéderm or Rejuviel V: what is the difference?
Juvéderm is made by Allergan in the USA; Rejuviel V is made by Pharma Research in Korea. Both are hyaluronic acid fillers with lidocaine and both can be dissolved. The doctor chooses based on the area, the firmness needed and your budget.
My forehead filler from another clinic looks dented. Can it be fixed?
Often, yes. Depending on the cause, the doctor may dissolve uneven filler with hyaluronidase, add filler in the right layer, or both. The doctor will examine it first and explain the options.
What are the risks of filler?
Common side effects are swelling, bruising and tenderness. Lumps or asymmetry can happen and can usually be adjusted. The serious but rare risk is vascular occlusion, when filler blocks a blood vessel. Warning signs are blanching, dusky color or pain that gets worse. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase, which is used both to correct shape and urgently if a vascular problem is suspected. The forehead and the area between the brows are higher-risk zones, which is why depth and technique matter there.
How do I know the filler is genuine?
Ask to see the box and the syringe label before the injection. Genuine products carry the brand name, lot number and expiry date. Peachcell uses only genuine, approved fillers at the full stated amount, so you can check them.
Results vary by individual. Every treatment plan is decided after an in-person consultation with the doctor.
